๐Ÿ“Œ Breaking: Midtown Manhattan Mass Shooting at 345 Park Avenue

Date: Monday evening, July 28, 2025

Location: 345 Park Avenue, Midtown Manhattan (44‑floor office tower housing NFL, Blackstone, KPMG, Rudin Management)

๐Ÿ•’ What Happened

  • At approximately 6:30 p.m., the shooter—identified as 27‑year‑old Shane Devon Tamura from Las Vegas—arrived in a black BMW and entered the tower carrying an AR‑15/M4‑style semiautomatic rifle

  • He opened fire in the lobby, killing three individuals, including an off‑duty NYPD officer working a security detail. He then proceeded to an elevator bank

  • Tamura rode the elevator to the 33rd floor, entered the offices of Rudin Management, fatally shot another victim, and then took his own life

๐Ÿ’” Victims

Four people died in the shooting:

  1. Police Officer Didarul Islam, age 36 — off‑duty NYPD officer from the Bronx, father of two, his wife is currently pregnant

  2. Aland Etienne, age 46 — unarmed security guard from McLane Security Inc., hailed as a “New York hero” by his union

  3. Wesley LePatner — Blackstone executive and mother of two, working in the lobby

  4. Julia Hyman — Rudin Management employee killed on the 33rd floor (name withheld until confirmed)

A fifth person—an NFL employee—was seriously injured but is currently in stable condition

๐Ÿ” The Shooter & Motive

  • Shane Devon Tamura, 27, of Nevada (Las Vegas), worked in casino surveillance and had a documented history of mental health crises in 2022 and 2024 Though he only played high school football, Tamura’s suicide note claimed he suffered from CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy). He accused the NFL of concealing brain injury risks and demanded that his brain be studied postmortem

  • His note referenced the documentary/book League of Denial, named journalists (the Fainaru brothers), and neuroscientists (e.g., Dr. Ann McKee, Dr. Christopher Nowinski)

  • Investigators believe he intended to attack the NFL headquarters located on floors 5–8 of the building, but entered the wrong elevator and ended up on Rudin’s floor instead

๐Ÿ™️ Response & Fallout

  • Mayor Eric Adams condemned the violence as a senseless act, stating the city lost four innocent lives, including an NYPD officer

  • NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed Tamura’s cross-country travel and weapon acquisition logistics; authorities are questioning an associate believed to have procured parts for the rifle NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell labeled the incident “unspeakable,” confirmed one employee was injured, and announced enhanced security and temporary remote work for staff until at least August 8, 2025 The tragedy has intensified the national dialogue on mental health, gun safety, and the long-term impact of brain injuries in contact sports .

Melbourne’s Fake Seizure Guy: A Bizarre Hoax That Fooled Good Samaritans for Decades

A Copter-Worthy Confession   Imagine walking through a sunny park when out of nowhere, a man collapses dramatically right in front of you. He trembles, calls for help, and then—you’re gently pinning him to the ground at his request. You’re sitting on top of him, straddled, utterly confused… and then he gets up and walks away as if nothing happened. This is not a prank—it’s what many Melburnians now recognize as the “Fake Seizure Guy” phenomenon. He’s believed to have targeted men exclusively for over two decades by staging medical crises in public places and skillfully manipulating their helping instincts.   A Living Urban Legend Over countless years, locals began to share eerily similar stories. A Reddit community dubbed “@fakeseizureguy” started circulating sightings and warnings. Even comedian Christian Hull recalls his own harrowing run-in: after leaving an event near Queen’s Bridge, the man collapsed in front of him—only to demand that Christian straddle hi...
